I was able to get one of these as an open box at a greatly reduced price. I would have been very disappointed had I paid full price for this unit.Installation was straightforward and fairly easy except several screws don’t line up well.The motor is lightweight enough that you don’t need a second pair of hands.It does not have the quietest, or the most powerful motor I’ve ever seen. In fact even though I manually start it before turning it on, a practice I use with all my ceiling fans, it still takes a while to get up to full speed. And while not obnoxious, the motor isn’t exactly silent either.Due to limited height on my porch, I needed a flush fitting fan and this fit the bill. I also didn’t want to have to spend $250 on an occasional use fan that was going to live its entire life outdoors. Given that limitation, and the discount that I got I’m overall pleased with the purchase.

I bought two of these fans. They are great for the the covered area that I have them. The only complaint is that the arm to the blade breaks. I had one break the first year and then another broke yesterday. When the first one broke I sent for part replacement. They sent me four new arms. So it was handy to have the replacement on hand.

We didn’t install this ourselves but the handyman didn’t seem to have an issue. It’s nothing fancy but looks fine and works fine. It fit my purpose of wanting a bronze/dark fan without a light that was smaller than 52 inches but not teeny (for a normal sized room with both flat and sloped ceiling).
