    Although Hunter Customer Service stated that this was the correct vaulted ceiling mount for my Hunter Original Fan, it wasn’t perfect. It fits, and does the job, but if you use the original mount that is sturdier and better than what comes with this, it will peak out through the slot in the center of the cover. Furthermore, the Hunter Original is matte black and this mount is glossy black.

    I used this with the Hunter Classic Original fan and it did not seem as strong as the flat ceiling mount that came with the fan. It might be better for lighter fans as it seems lightweight for the cast iron fans. Not really any other choice around for an item like this.

    I ordered this item after getting the product number from Hunter Fans for the particular fan we ordered. Unfortunately the adaptor was much smaller and did not cover the mounting plate by a long shot! Have to return it and fans still not hung! Not happy
